Music Hard Disk

Hi everyone,

I drive a 2019 540i and have a question about copying USB-sourced music (like an iPOD) to the music hard disk...the manual states that this can be done via the Media menu commands but when I am playing my iPOD, there is no hard disk icon (left side of the screen) present to copy any songs, albums, etc. Conversely, the hard drive disk icon is available for copying music when I am playing a CD, so no problems there - makes no sense to me - any suggestions? Thanks!

You can copy from a usb device (like a memory stick) but not from an iPod due to digital rights management Apple puts on tracks and the structure of the files on the iPod makes this even more difficult.
