Thigh support electric adjust gone?

I am pretty sure I have the comfort package, there is electric adjustment for everything in the front seat but thigh support, it’s adjusted manually for some reason... did I get f***d by the dealer?

It's manual on all the coupe and convertible. I don't know about the gran coupe.

Same on all. The 8s got the cheap seats — good, but not as good.

There's more just give it time, and a couple software upgrades.

Yeah these seats aren't as high tech as the M5 or x5/6m seats. No massage function.

Hey at least we got the ass blower!

This is where I think calling them a 6 series made more sense. I suppose I get what they were trying to do, but the finish on the 7 series is definitely going to focus more on luxury than the 8 which prioritizes the sportiness. Even my X7 has nicer buttons, trim, etc. than what you get with an 8.

I believe I read somewhere that they simply couldn't fit the seat from the 5 into the 8, so they had to make something new. I'd imagine making the footprint for the motors smaller was needed most to get the seat lower to the ground. They took out this function along with massaging and the mid-seat hinge that you get in the 5... that one I miss a bit more. I do find myself starting to wish I could tilt the top half of the seat forward a bit, but adding a helmet helped.

That being said, I'd still take an 8 over a 5 or 7 any day. Different cars for different reasons.

Indeed I miss that function too being motorized! But most of all having a thigh support pull out lever feels and LOOKS cheap on such an expensive car, regardless to whom it caters. The motorized (electrical) version I had on my F06 previously was definitely spot on and also zero trouble/worries about whether it aligns/latches back perfectly because that is the case on the electrical one but not always on the mechanical one which you have to push a little firmer to ensure it retreats completely. But then again I agree I will keep my 8 series over any other current BMW models!

My friend moved mine also when he was checking out my car the other day.

My OCD forced me to put it back so it looks uniform with the other side.

My 7 was electronic control so I was looking everywhere for the button to adjust

I realized at the end it was an old school manual adjustment.

I guess I expected more but it is what it is.
