2021 build year M850i - Have you measured the performance?

This maybe perceived as a strange request but please bear with me!

Have any M850i coupe / GC owners with cars produced this year, run their cars at a 1/4 mile event or logged their standing starts using Dragy or Vbox etc?

Many thanks!

It's only strange because you said it might be perceived that way.

So now (unlike the hypothetical before) I'm curious to know why you're asking?

Lots of guys have run draggy. Why your year? There isn't any difference from 2018 to 2022. All the same numbers. All the same stats. Should be all the same times.

Ha yes, the context here is 2021 build year M550i owners with the same drivetrain as the M850i, are finding the new car is about half a second off the BMW figures for 0-60 & 0-62 (thus no quicker than the 462bhp predecessor).

I was curious if this was systematic with all of the new V8 sub M's

I believe you are referring to the fact that M850i 2019 MY (not sure about 2020) was rated at 3.7 sec from 0 to 100 km/h whereas now for example the configurator shows 3.8 sec for the same. No idea, why this has been corrected as most reviews confirmed the 3.7 was realistic and not too optimistic on BMW side.

Since the LCI update the 0-62 for the M550i is 3.8

In the real world owners are measuring 4.2-4.3

All the M850i are the same. They didn't change like the 550 or m5 lci or m5cs. All the 8s are the same.
