Question to MHD - M2 Competition DCT

Hi guys,

a short question by me.
Since i was able to benchunlock my DME, i flashed MHD Stage 2.

I checked the box where the flaps are always open in Sport Mode
also activated Burbles in Sport Mode. Normal no burbles.

Now following situation.
after start i saw, that an M1 and M2 button Sport+ changed to Sport.

Flaps are open in Sport and Sport+
Burbles are only activated on Sport+

Could it be that Sport is Sport in terms of Flapcontrol but not Burbles?

Also i recognized on sport+ if i am on 75% throttle and shift or i slightly reduce throttle there is something like a anti lag

Car Euro M2C

any idea?

Would love to help but need more info. Did you code these changes? If so, with what software?

Sport and Sport + do not have flaps open 100% of the time by default. Unless you coded it that way.

M Buttons can be set to whatever yo like of course.

- Exhaust flap always open in sport mode

M1 was on Sport+
after flashing with MHD it changed itself to Sport.

I'm not too familiar with MHD as I use Bimmercode. However I don't think that would cause an issue.

Are you not able to set M1 to your preferred setting through iDrive screen or by setting to your preference then holding M1 button down for a few seconds?

Does your car come with OPF filters?

I’m curious to know about the anti-lag you mention, is it the loud ‘braap’ noise if you lift off throttle? Like the earlier F8X models? Not the burble sound, but more like a fart/ignition cut sound?

With MHD i'm sure I only turned off rev matching in sport + mode yet after flashing it had turned it off in Sport + AND Sport mode.

May be a bug in the MHD software?

That’s the wastegates routing excess pressure. S55 doesn’t have blowoff/bypass valves.

The S55 has a ‘soft-blow’ anti-lag system by default. It works in Sport and Sport Plus, and it’s the whip/crack and ‘braaap’ noise caused by intermittent high throttle loads.

See:

For sound regulations, OPF-equipped S55 models have had this feature removed by the ECU tuning. But from what I’ve seen, the MHD tunes are using this software feature, whereas, BM3 doesn’t have it by default for their S55 OPF maps. Hence why I asked if he’s OPF/Euro based as I’m keen to get the same acoustics in my S55 M2C.

I have M2C with OPF and I don't have this brap sound, maybe it is too quiet, I tested it in different modes/combinations of engine/dct - still no brap on throttle lift.

Any idea how to make it louder?

Firstly, you need to map it using MHD and their CS map. Then you need a decent midpipe with an OPF delete - this muffles the sound heavily even if you get it mapped. You’ll then have same braap lift off sound as F8X M3/4 pre-OPF.
