BMW M should hire human factor designer

Whomever tested the usability of some of these buttons needs to be fired.

The M Mode button next the the gear shifter, when you press it and it changes the instrument panel and shows the M HUD configuration .... awesome A+ (even though all of this should be programmable with M1 or M2, I'm over that now).

Here's a button with a missing next step, the setup button next to the M Mode button (mentioned above). It allows you to change engine, transmission yada yada yada .... where is the save option???? I don't want that every time no push the M Mode to hit setup and change the engine, transmission yada yada yada. I know some will say just program the M1 to what you want then push M Mode. That's poor GUI design. They took a step process and turned it into 3 steps. Am I missing something here? Is there an option that I don't see?

Setup button setting is probably not remembered because of fuel economy rating. Seems crazy on an M vehicle, but that's probably the reason.
