Jb4 install ?s

I have a 2018 f90. Bought the jb4 and in the instructions it says to not install the waste gate connections unless I'm heavily modded. Do y'all recommend connecting those anyways. I'm stock for now w just drop in filters on 91.
Will the wastegate connections make the tuning safer?

The EWG make the tuning more powerful but I think they suggest not installing at first since it takes another 15-20 min so they want you to enjoy the basic tuning first then when you get bored spend the time to add those in for the full effect.

You can only run map 1 without those connectors, if you ever want to add 4 gallons of E85 to your tank and bump up to map 2 for a significant power increase you'll have to connect them. You have to remove the drivers side intake middle section and remove the turbo inlet to access the connector.

No wonder I couldn't find the connector for the drivers side

No more than 4-4.5 gallons of either. JB4 has been doing good with an E20 mix, any higher could trigger a code or run you lean due to the fuel pumps not being able to flow the methanol

So 4g of e85 to a full tank of 91? Or 4g of e85 to a half tank of 91? Sorry to keep asking

I run E25 so 25% e85 ... on a empty tank you'd put 5 gallons E85 and 15 gallons 91 or 93. I have been running Map3 on E25 no issues ... Map6 E25 + 1 boostane makes these things fly ! Daily is map1 just 91 fuel.

Are there any videos or DIY's for the JB4 install?

Burger Motorsport has their own dedicated forum N54tech.com
Great place for info regarding their JB4 products.
My buddy is running map 3 with 6 gallons of E85 w/ 91 octane
Made some software adjustments with Terry @ BMS and still have the harness disconnected.
I would recommend logging and sending to BMS to review before connecting the wastegate connectors.

it states on the install instructions that " In some situations they may trigger false alarm fault wastegate codes if the settings are not compatible with your vehicle software/conditions. For this reason we suggest most users not install them initially and only add them down the road if they find the need more power"

Many logs with adjustments were sent back and forth with Terry @ BMS and he has not told us to connect them yet
