Feul Tank including a reserve of?

Hey All,

Just wonder, i see that our fuel tank is 15.9 Gal, but the manual also says "including reserve of" 2.1 Gal. Does this mean that the Tank is really 18 Gallons?

No. When I had my e90, The pump would always stop at around 15.5 gallons when I would let the tank go considerably low.

I think the 2.1 gallons is from the time the "low fuel" light comes out.

i get a display warning & boing at arount 80kms distance to go before the car runs out of fuel. then a permanent display at 50kms and less. i usually fill up at around 30kms to go and the tank accepts a little over 60 litres of fuel.

so it seems that the reserve is more of a warning than anything else.

15.9 including 2.1 reserve means the whole thing is 15.9 gallons. You're thinking of excluding. That would make it 18.
