why sell rims and tires together?

Just curious, if you are selling 18's why don't you seperate??? I just bought a complete set on ebay for $1700 shipped to my door and I have already sold the rubber to someone on the board for $600 about 5 minutes after winning an ebay auction(local buyer for the rubber so no shipping). so I really bought my 18's for $1100 shipped. Someone could easily sell 18's on this board for $1400 plus shipping and then get $600 plus shipping for the rubber.

I am pretty excited to have the oem 18's for the winter. i had m6 replicas on my e46 and they were freaking junk.

youre lucky you got a local buyer to buy your tires... i've tried selling wide tires locally before and its nearly impossible to get them to move... not many people use such wide tires. selling rims and tires together are just easier sometimes cos you save one shipping costs...

but i know what you mean. youre just lucky to be in a good situation.
