Problem with HUD resolved
We just got a new x45e the first part of December. The first long trip was New Years Eve Day. Everything was working fine, but I noticed as the day went on the HUD was really, really dim. I was getting worried that there was a problem - then I took off my sun glasses to take a closer look......
Problem solved. |

I bought a pair of non-polarized Oakley's when I got my F15. Still haven't broken them (knock on carbon fiber...or whatever is handy)...
FYI, I haven't tried this, but I'd noted in a recent "BMW How-To" video that they specifically mentioned one of the reasons for allowing you to change the "Rotation" in your HUD settings is to adjust to "some polarized sunglasses". Here's the link: BMW How-To: HUD. Technically, that makes sense, but if one had to rotate it very far, it seems like it would just look crooked. In another thread on the forum, someone suggested they just cock their head every time they wanted to see their HUD... |

I bought non-polarized Oakley aviators for the car too. They are quickly becoming my favorite sunglasses. I kind of have a problem though, I have glasses for driving, golfing x2, cycling x2, shooting, grey lens multi purpose, and blue mirrored multi purpose, plus older backups just in case. They are all prescription and my prescription hasn’t changed in 20 years.
