Hi folks,

I'm at a loss and could use some help please. I have a 2008 335xi base unit. I purchased the alarm module that goes in the dome light, found the connector and installed is about 30 seconds. The red nose does light up and blink.

Next I purchased the horn. It was in bad shape, but stated it was in working order. It even had new backup batteries stalled. I plugged the horn in and went to the control menu on the dash and still do not see the audio icon for unlocking or locking doors (as stated in manual). Does this require an update to the computer? I want the audio alert when the doors lock.

Any advice?

I had no idea the siren had backup batteries. Cool.

As was said you’ll need to code. DIY’s available online
