V12-powered, 843-HP BMW 'M560i' xDrive goes up on sale in Russia
This BMW 5 Series (G30) may be four years old, but the seller wants more for it than the sticker of the new 5 Series. The reason? A V12 under the hood, which the Bavarian marque never installed on this category of cars. The luxury sedan sports a Mexico Blue finish out of BMW Individual palette and rocks an M5 body kit. Its roof, radiator grille, wheels, side mirrors and window bezels are also black, rather than chrome. The twelve-banger stems from a 760li, prompting the owner to call his ride an 'M560i xDrive'. As if that much power was not enough, the mill was tuned to deliver 855 PS (843 hp / 629 kW) and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. The gearbox and transmission, AWD, 4WS and air suspension also come from the 7 Series flagship, while an M5 donates the brakes. Outfitted like this, the bulky saloon needs 2.4 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph), 7.7 seconds to reach 200 km/h (124 mph), and does a quarter-mile run in under 10 seconds. The interior stays stock, but the trim is every bit as opulent as one can wish for. Installed are automatic parking, adaptive cruise control, lane control, and automatic high beam switch. Its not a tuned M5 like the title says. The body was taken from G30. He just installed M5 body parts, and built this thing from ground up. They call it "Frankenstein". Very nice and costly build.
