There are these plastic clips preventing the valve from pushing down all the way. Do I need to trim these off?

Edit: some tutorials on YouTube don't cut them off although one person did

I used a small file and trimmed the tabs down a bit and it fit right in nice and firm. I have the same RB pcv.

I ended up leaving it since I noticed the stock valve also sits on top of the little edges.

I didn't notice this when I installed mine but it fit perfect and the cap went back on how it should, so I'd assume they belong there.
