Zaino issues on M3 hood?

When I apply zaino, it works fine on all parts of the car except the hood. It just smears and nevery truly dries. Is this cause the hood is aluminum or something?

I use Zaino and have no problems. Are you sure you are allowing sufficient time for the product to dry? Depending on the temperature, it would take up to an hour to dry.

Which Zaino product are you using?

I have noticed that the AIO drys a little faster than the Z1 or Z2.

Are you trying to apply it right after you've driven the car? Your hood could be hot from the engine and that may be affecting how the product acts on it.

I suggest letting your car cool down for a bit, and trying again.

i put on two coats of z2 with a z6 in between each and had no problems. I also used the accelerator and gave at least 30 minutes.

Agree with the assessment that the hood being a bit warm is probably a problem. I have noticed problems with applying Z6 on even a remotely warm hood. I’ve also experienced water spot problems on the left hand side of the hood (as in drivers side US or passenger side OZ) – it seems that this side stays warmer for longer because of the position of stuff under the hood. I suggest you leave the hood up for a while before washing and Zainoing.

I use Zaino Z-CS, and don't have any issues. BTW this product is great it's just so easy to apply.
