Cheap Diverter Valve option

Has anyone tried these diverter valves. They are 25mm and significantly cheaper than other options. Springs are also included. They seem to be good quality just not sure if anyone has used on an n54.

$44.95 that's still overpriced. Pretty sure these are the same thing for less than $10

They can sometimes leak under high boost or from high mileage.

I have these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They work. I keep them at the stiffest setting and it's vented to atmosphere. My OEM were leaking so I replaced them with these until I decide on which blow off valve I want, but I purchased them after watching this:

Can a failing diverter cause whining? I have a whine coming from that side of the engine under boost and I can't find any leaks...

So I just installed these rkx diverter valves paired with an arm charge pipe. So far I am very impressed. I vented them to atmosphere and the blow off is much louder than stock. Car also feels much smoother and holds boost great. For under $200 i think it was well worth it.

I use these https://www.ecstuning.com/b-forge-pa...mdvbm35-c~frg/

They aren't cheap but they are solid built and have had no problems in like 7+ years

The kit came with 3 springs i used the softest one with one spacer. According to the instructions thats what's needed if your running around 17lbs boost. I'm also on a mhd stage 2 93 map

FWIW I just decided to order new OE valves. They're $70 each from FCP euro with the hoses and they've worked fine for 14 years on my N54...

I'll let ya'll know if they fix my whine...

I vent my forge dv's to atmosphere like this. However you should put some small breather filters where the DVs exhale from. You will get dirt in there and it will score the internal piston causing pre-mature wear and eventually seize up.

They sound great, just not sure if I have them right enough. How tight are yours?

Were you on stock turbo set up? Did they hold up well until you switched to a BOV?
I have mine about 4 full turns from fully tight but wasn’t sure if that was how they should be or not
