Front crank seal seepage?

It builds up like this after about 2 weeks. Cars an 09 335 I've already done ofhg and valve cover. The black goo looks like shards of belt. The thing that confuses me is most of the build up is around the altenator/power steering. Is their anything else this could be other then the front crank

Front and Even rear Crank seals do leak. Had to replace both on mine, some time back.

Front crank seal.

Rent or buy the proper tool.

Use Ultra Grey instead of the USELESS BMW SEALANT. You just gotta wait 24 hours for it to fully cure.

If you go to the DIY part of the forum, there's a big thread on this repair. I have commented on it, when I did mine.

FWIW, Permatex recommends Ultra Black for maximum oil resistance, which I think is the key issue in this situation. Ultra Grey is supposed to be for situations where you need more flexibility than typical.

But it probably doesn't matter that much which one is used
