Stolen recovered 335i won't rev past 2k RPM
My car was recently stolen and recovered. The clutch was half depressed, gears not engaging, no start, missing air intake, AC gas cap missing, clutch switch not working and ignition wires were cut. I’ve been trying to get it all fixed up but I’m having a few issues.
So far I’ve got the ignition wires fixed, I’ve bridged the clutch switch so the car now starts. Now... the car cuts out at about 2k rpm and won’t rev higher. Any ideas? It’s running a base map from motiv tuning as I recently upgraded the turbos shortly before it was taken. https://streamable.com/i09d71 <div style="width:100%;height:0px;position:relative;pad ding-bottom:176.389%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/i09d71" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen style="width:100%;height:100%;position:absolute;le ft:0px;top:0px;overflow:hidden;"></iframe></div> |

Possibly because you have bridge the clutch switch? Limiter kicks in when you hold clutch in. Mine does it but I think is 3k rpm. Maybe is something else but fix the issues properly to eliminate guess work.
