Possible B58 coolant issue?
Checked my coolant today and saw this when i screwed of the cap (check pics). I pray its nothing, but does that white stuff around the rim of the cap hint at possible coolant loss? The car was just at my local bmw dealer last week for brake fluid service and oil chance, and vehicle check. In the report is states that they checked coolant system for leeks and found nothing. My car shakes a bit on startup, could this be contributing to that?Thoughts? [IMG][/IMG]
Also, i plan on changing out my tires soon, would i need to replace my tpms as well? Thank you for all your input |

Thats normal and I have alot more residue than that. Under pressure, some coolant gets by the o-ring not much. Your level is at maximum so there is no problems and no you do not need to the replace TPMS with tires.

Hello guys, I am new to this forum.
I am having a problem with my 2016 BMW 420i xDrive. While trying to give throttle and accelerate, a strange sound appears from the exhaust. It sounds like an old rattle noise, like from a 10 year car... BMW official dealer told me car had a turbine valve problem (open, but do not close properly), so they changed the turbo to a new one (car is on a 5-year warranty). The sound disappeared for like 2-3 months, but when appeared again. Did anyone experienced similar problem and know what this is all about? BWM dealer is avoiding to fix it and it makes me nervous. Thank you very much! |
