Squeak after hard acceleration
My 2007 335i makes this sort of squeak or higher pitched sound for a split second when letting off the throttle after medium/hard acceleration. The harder I snap my foot off the gas, the more pronounced the squeak is but I wouldn’t say that it’s loud and It can’t or can faintly be heard if music is playing. The squeak sounds like it’s coming from near the firewall on the engine side. I was doing some reading on dsm forums and it could be related to the BOV. I’m currently stage 2+ with upgraded CP but running factory diverter valves. I also have BMS cowl filters so most engine noises can be heard pretty well. Any idea if the squeak could be related to the dv’s? I’ll take a look inside the engine bay again but last I looked I didn’t notice anything unusual. Thanks!

You mean stock diverter valves? Sounds like a tiny leak somewhere... maybe it's time for an upgraded charge pipe/bov combo
Check the for sale section out I may have something for you
