Faulty Variable Service Indicator?

Please help.

I have a G20 – 320d. One of the early UK review/demo models I suspect…

I took my car for its first service at 12,000 around mid-September 2020.

The service was carried out by main dealer, so all computers and settings were updated by them.

When the vehicle was return the service indicator read 12,000 until next oil service. However, it has since dropped on almost a weekly basis and currently sits at 6,000 miles until next oil service.

For note, two other things happened to the car since the Service

Following pothole damage the car had a new right side suspension and steering rack

The engine vibration damper split, sheering the drive belt – all fixed under warranty

The Heads up display has developed a slight glitch and won't display boost gauge when in Sport mode

Not sure if any of the above could play into the issue?

Has anyone else had similar issues with the service indicator?

Thanks guys
