I agree with him, my 2021 LCI is quicker than my 2019 M5 Comp.
Off the line is mental. Due to the gearbox change too the M8 box.

Why is he driving on the wrong side?

But damn, I'm jealous. Amazing car and no hideous grills.

Wonder when we will reach the limits of how fast cars can be. Already reaching illegal speeds in the blink of an eye

How soon until we get below 2-seconds?

I seriously wish the next m5 wasn't going electric. If only they can just make further improvements to this engine..

I always love the m5, they do a great job every time, but I hate electric, especially if it ends up being a full EV that is going to pain me.

I'm probably in the minority, but I would actually like to see an electrified M5. Not full on EV, however the combination of ICE and Electric. Something similar to Mercedes' 53-Series AMG products could be really interesting. I would love to see BMW adopt something similar whether it be paired to a V8 or I6, I think it could be awesome and really make the M5 even better.

As great as the current S63 engine is, a change could be good, we've been seeing revisions of it since the original X5M (2010).

I agree on PHEV being a better move if it comes with a v8 setup, however if it means electric+I6 man I donno, a v8 is always a v8

I would think BMW would still consider offering an M5 Hybrid in some markets

The current engine setup with electric assist would be so epic

Yes I agree as long as we don't have to downsize to an I6!

I just love the look of that car. In that thumbnail just look at how symmetrical that radar sensor is and how balanced/proportional the kidneys are...

It will most probably have the powerline of the upcoming X8M, including the V8. Combined output 750hp expected.
