Being a holiday week and such, I have enough flexibility in my schedule to pick up my car as soon as it's available. Will drop off the F85 and pick up the F90 in MD, before heading back to NJ.

A nice send off drive for the X5 ///M and first trip in the M5.

I just got a call from the corporate customer service person who I was working with. She said the instructions to fix my car were just sent to my dealership, and there are no outstanding issues that would prevent delivery (once the software is fixed).

My CA told me this morning they were still waiting, so I assume the fix was sent in between then and now. BMW corporate called the service manager to inform them the fix was done/sent and to expedite repair.

I just sent a message to my CA to update him. Maybe there is a remote chance I can get it tomorrow???? Depends how far along they got with preparing the car. In PA the dealerships are closed on Sunday, so I am thinking Monday will likely be the day.

Yes and we're supposed to have very mild weather this week and next so it should be ideal.

Yes, doing ceramic and probably just front end xpel ppf. The Porsche dealer subbed out my full xpel on the 911 but used a North Jersey place that I didnt care for much (besides I think full ppf might be overkill after my last go round (unless you have a Pagani or something).

I'll PM you on the place I plan to use (it's a small operation but close by. They did my friend's Tesla and xpel window tint on my 911).

BMW rep called me a few hours ago to say they spoke withe service manager at my dealer and the car would be updated today. I then spoke with my sales guy and he said the dealer isn't getting the software until this evening, and with only 2 mechanics on staff on a Sat there, its gonna be a Monday evening pickup for me at this point. He said the service manager told him that he doesn't know why BMW is telling people (I'm not the only one per my sales guy) that the car will be ready today when the software isn't being delivered to anyone until this evening.

But hey, guess I'll have the car before the holiday as hoped.

Yea... crazy the communication disconnect.

My dealer says it isn't showing in the system yet as available (as of a few hours ago). I think the car is being prepped anyways (inspected, cleaned, etc.). So if it comes in overnight, I hope they get on it in the morning.

At this point my CA wants it done so I stop bugging him.... and so does the service manager.

My dealer just sent me a pic of an update to the service bulletin dated Nov 20 and stating the SW is now available for download! Looks like tomorrow should be the day!!
