question for actual mileage of petrol engine on hybrid 330e

Hello,

i have a hybrid BMW 330e F30 and I have a question for which i couldn't find an answer..

Does anyone know how I can check the actual mileage that the petrol engine has??

The cluster shows the total mileage of the car. But this is not representative of how much km the engine has done since much of the time the car might be moving on electricity only..

For example we could have two cars with the same mileage of 100000km
On first car the engine could be in operation for 95000km of the total due to highway use..
On the second car the engine could be in operation for 15000km only because the driver was using it on the city mostly..

So, the second car's engine is far less used than the first car and somehow i believe this should be indicated..Even when it comes the time to sell the car..

Please let me know if you know anything

Thanks and Regards,

I think thats possible through some advanced scanners. Another good thing to look at is engine hours. Maybe take it to a bmw show that has the computers that can scan everything in the car and tell you the mileage. Its the same way they check for rollbacks.

Log on to BMW connectdrive and the analysis should be there go to remote cockpit. And you'll see your electric distance driven for all journeys

Can i ask why it matters? 1 component having lower mileage than the rest of the car surly isn't reason to buy said car? After all all of the other components have seen the miles and when buying a car id think your want the lower mileage car regardless if the engine had done all the miles?
I could understand if the engine was branded unreliable or something.

Create an account on BMW connectdrive. You'll need your chassis number. I take it you're using the BMW connect app..
