Help motor

So I just blew my motor 2012 335is is there any way I can put an older 8 bolt in the car I have a dct. Or does anyone have a 6 bolt motor for sale. Northern Virginia but willing to drive

Wouldn't you just need a different flywheel? Coulda sworn I've seen an 8 bolt dct flywheel before.

Yes plenty of 335i came with DCT, outside of NA of course, look up 21207593469, is expensive. Not sure why you want 8 bolt. Chances are that used 6 bolt engine will be newer and in better condition. Unmolested older 8 bolt n54 is like unicorn.

I'm wondering the same thing.

When people say "I blew my engine"......it makes me think they have no idea what actually happened to it.

When people say "I thew a rod out the side of the block".....it makes me think they know exactly what they are talking about

Sorry for your loss OP, hate seeing an iS down. I'm not up to par with engine/transmission fitments... but throw an S65 dct in there!

You mean rebuild the motor....you can't really rebuild a block, unless you are talking about sleeving the cylinders.
