hey everyone. so I just recently bought my first BMW. it's a 2016 435i xDrive M Sport. I live in Canada where it gets very cold. I checked for a block heater plug and couldn't find it. I found this plug on the driver's side fog lamp grill. It appears too small to fit the cord. Anyone know what it is and also if I need a special cord for this if it's a block heater?

I have the same plug, it's a defa miniplug you need to buy. I got mine from a Toyota dealership but I still don't know whether it's a block heater or battery charger

Ask a local dealer. They must be very familiar with block heaters
