Rear seat climate control

I am still trying to get used to my X3MC and the BMW infotainment system. One thing I can't figure out is how / if you can control the rear climate control (temperature / fan speed) from the front?

I tried to search the forum history, but I couldn't find anything on this.

Short answer: no.

The HVAC display in front is a dual zone one - and even retrofitting the tri/quad zone one from the G30, as some have done will not allow you to control the rear.

Edited to add: In the HVAC display there is a "Menu" button, which does allow for certain presets to happen.

Thanks for the answer - that seems crazy that BMW didn't think about adding this functionality.

I would assume when you push the "sync" button both the rears and front climate control sync up?

Same, I assumed sync would as well. I’d like to completely disable all the rear buttons, however. Depending on which of my kids gets stuck with the middle seat, they have spitefully been activating the seat warmers of the others.

I believe sync gives you that option it did on the 4 zone I had on my 7 series, so you can adjust the rear by using sync then if you want to change just the front disable sync.

In my 2022 X4 I go to:

-Car
-Settings
-Climate control
-Hearing/ventilation
-.Second row of seats

Hope this helps

Assume this post was initially made for the pre lci, which you cannot control the back seats

On the Lci you now can control the climate and the rear heated seats from the front.

Now though unfortunately they have removed the sync button from the dash but it can be done in the menus
