Anyone who installed JB+... Can you share how it is working for you?

I know that it is a simple mild tune but I was curious and wanted to see how much / little of a added power for you.

Or how good / bad of a tune for you personally. Just bought one and I am not going to install it just yet... engine is too green, 400 miles odo. once i pass say, 1000, ill install it and see how it is.

Thank everyone for their input.

I had one on my 340 for about 2 weeks back in 2017

It was my experience that the B58 engine combined with a piggyback and our 91 gas here in California was not a good combination. Power delivery was far from linear and the car would simply fall flat on its' face between shifts. Drivability was really quite bad to the point that my kids asked me what was wrong with the car.

That said the HPFP in our M340's B58TU is a much more capable unit vs the one in the 340 so perhaps this would elevate some or all of what I've shared here.

Let us know how it goes - no harm in trying IMHO

Hope this helps a bit

Thank you, yes that is a great info. this engine still is based off of the B58 in the previous model so... It is good to know how your experience went.

I'll go conservative once I put it on, just to avoid any of that.

They ship 20-30 a week for the B58 and rarely hear of any customer issues. For the gains provided its a solid little product.

I had a JB4 on my last 340 (2017) and it was great. My car was a stick shift though so I cannot speak of how the automatic transmission adapts to it.

I went JB4 on my last car because there was nothing else for the B58 cars when I got the car. I was very happy with mine.

Hello mike, I actually JUST got it from burger MS. But i only have 400 miles... ill wait until 1000 miles or so. To be honest, the car feels too fast for me on a sports plus lol. I am sure ill hunger for more later but now, i am getting acclimated. I'll definitely post my experience after the first drive

JB+

They have similar functionality and power, JB+ is better priced

I used a JB4 with my previous 16 Q50 3.0t and had great luck with it. I made 411whp on the premium not Redsport model. Only mods were the Jb4 and catless downpipes with 93 fuel. It is not really much of a true tuning device. It is device that intervenes with the map sensor signal to fool the ecu into seeing less pressure so it holds the wastegate closed longer and creates more boost. It cannot adjust timing which is its greatest limitation to true tuning. The fuel wires allow it to have some limited control of fueling but still not as good as a real tune. That all being said, it installs or uninstalls very easy, it is effective in making impressive gains for the money spent, retains all the factory driving characteristics, and cannot be detected by the dealer as long as you remove it before service. I personally ordered their simple plug and play perfomance module for $199 to hold me over until I am ready to do a full tune. Having to have the ecu bench unlocked first pushed me to that decision. The BMS module is a simple 2 connection unit that simply raises the boost by 4.5psi and is dyno proven to provide up to 40whp and 50wtq. A nice little bump to tide me over for very little expense. I will probably do a downpipe after that. If I can get low 400whp range with those simple mods, I will be good for awhile.

I see stock dyno around 365-370 whp on this forum... looks like you can easily get to 400+ whp with just jb+ alone. With Jb4 I see people doing close to 500 whp! a LOT of power to handle... be careful in the rain with that. well, even with stock power.... be careful in the rain lol

Thats what I'm hoping for. You are right about the rain, I hate these runflat tires. I can't wait to wear them out and get some good Michelins!
