Lightbulb AWD model will have less torque?

I've read on german forums that there's talk the M3/M4 G8xC AWD version will have less torque than the RWD Competition variant (i.e. the same as the X3M/X4M, where to the best of my knowledge the base and competition versions have the same 600 NM torque). Anything you can say about that?

I would find that surprising because the press release directly references 479lbft flowing through the AWD system.

EDIT: found the quote "Summer of 2021 will see the arrival of optional M xDrive for Competition models, a first for the M3 and M4. The additional traction will enable the 479 lb.-ft. of torque to be used to a greater extent during acceleration and dynamic driving."
