The front you will need spring compressors to separate the springs from the shocks. The rears the springs are separate from the shocks and can be pulled out. Rears are MUCH easier then the fronts.

I'm thinking about Tein or Eibach I think you have Tein on yours , right? how do you like it? anyway when they said 1" drop. Do they base on Sport Suspension? I only have non-sport. So I don't know it might go to low. I'm going to get 19" rims |

When they say 1" they mean based on a non-sport suspension so if you have sport suspension you can expect the same drop but it wont be as substantial since sport suspension is already lower. The Tein S.Tech I have are 0.7"/0.6" i believe, basically a VERY minimal drop but you can tell its lower then stock. I'd like to go lower but I got them for Christmas so I cant complain. The ride quality is about the same as stock and wont blow out my stock shocks.

So in my case.
I don't have sport suspension. If i put tein on mine, I would probably notice the drop more than yours , right? ps. I have Tein on my subaru and love it. But seem like people on bimmer society doesn't like it that much. As far as I've been reading. |

Well, most people dislike them cause they do mostly import tuning and of course we drive "BMW" so you know. Aside from Volk, import tuning parts are taboo. Personally, I've had them on my car for almost a year now and they do what they're made to do, so I have no complaints. And yes, your drop will be more substantial since your car is naturally higher then a car with sport suspension.

Most people don't like Tein suspensions "for BMW"s" because the parts are inferior to other brands like Koni's, Bilsteins, KW's, TCKline's, & Eibachs. It has nothing to do with Japan. Tein makes good products for other cars, just not as good of products for BMW's.
Most high-end BBS wheels are made in Japan, and you rarely, if ever, hear people complain about it. |
