welcome light projector loose

Has anyone else had this problem? The projectors are fastened with double-stick tape (!) at the factory... My dealer says they will fix it with a glue that is flexible enough to withstand fluctuation between summer and winter temperatures.

Look up the video of BMW putting together an X7. The entire front end, ALL OF IT is clicked on and then four bolts. It takes about 4 seconds. I imaging there is a lot of double sided tape used all over.

I think he was referring to the welcome's light on the ground from the small notch right behind the front wheels - at least I think that welcome light.

I just meant that the cars are put together like legos. With tape.

Yes, I meant the ground stripe lighting in the notch behind the front wheels. The passenger side projector is completely loose, sliding around in its slot, and the dealer says the one on the driver side is also starting to loosen.

Mine was loose on the passenger side day of delivery. Didn't notice till I got home. I applied 3m adhesion promoter to the side skirt inner area and hit the area with a heat gun and pulled the puddle light into the right place. It's held firm for over a year, I pressure wash the car so the bond is pretty solid.
I was lucky as the double stick tape they use was still clean when I reattached mine. Otherwise black silicone rtv is what I would use to glue it back, otherwise you need to remove the side skirt

Both sides on mine are loose. Like rattling around inside the fairing loose. How do you get them lined up properly without sticking too soon? I can't believe they didn't clip them in place.....geez. Thanks in advance for your help.
