Tuning will void my warranty ?!

Hey guys

I just bought m5 comp 2021 and I'm think to tune it in a safe way to keep warranty? Is there any chance to do it ? If yes what tune (DME, HCP,jb4,bm3) . My goal from the tuning is little more HP and some pangs

Last question I heard that if u tune ur car u can remove the flash and it will go back to the factory setting so u can't get caught from ur dealer ! Is that true?

Tune will void your warranty.
If you engine blow, turbo failure, etc...
but you can probably built it stronger/ forged piston, etc...

People says if it's related to your tune, but tou will have to prove that's it's not related.Revert a tune will not revert it.

They are able to collect data over the air ...
https://www.consumerreports.org/auto...-car-collects/

how many whp tou want to add? 40whp? 400 whp? drag race? street racing?

If you want a faster car with warranty, buy a faster car, if 600+ hp is not enough. (ferrari, 720s, porsche turbo)

or

another thing you can do, to have a faster car without voiding your warranty, remove weight from your car.

Change seats, battery, ccb, internal panel, back seat, losing weight yourself and run your car in colder temperature carbon hood, trunk, pannel, wheel, exaust, slick tyre, etc.

Each 100 pounds is .1 faster at the end of the 1/4 miles.

And go for it

If it's just to be the faster on the highway street racing is not the.right thing to do ... i've seen a lot of accident already

or go with noelle tune ... they claim that they cover your warranty. check the contract with your lawyer...

It does not.

A dealership might not do a repair for free if they think the damage is caused by your tune.
They cannot deny all you warrant y work including the non-related issues.

hundreds of thousands of tuned cars avoid this problem by removing the tune before their visit. Its debatable how efficient/serious dealerships are at finding tunes once they have been removed.

Lol no need to apologize, you're new to the forums and probably just got the car and curious. Long story short any single flash tune will be detected. You could do an intake, exhaust and a few other things to add a bit more power/shave weight with the warranty still there but as far as ECU, no chance.

Here is the best way to put it:

Powertrain warranty claims can and most likely will be denied if an alteration to the calibration is detected by BMW. This includes reflashing the ECU or TCU or using a piggyback that can alter boost or spark lead because BMW can detect engine conditions at and just before the time of failure.

This is even stated as a disclaimer in many owners manuals across many different makes of vehicle and completely within the rights of a vehicle manufacturer offering a guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. If you change the way they designed it to work, they aren't going to back up the way it works, quite simply.

They aren't going to deny a claim against a blown speaker if you tune the engine.
