bimmercode connection error?

Just got bimmercode and tried to connect with OBDlink MX adapter.
After selecting the option OBDlink LX/MX/MX+ in the app and car, it keep giving me connection error and fails to connect to the car.
Tried it with ignition on as well as accessory mode. made sure phone was in airplane mode with bluetooth on and connected only to the adapter (android) and still nothing.

has anyone ran into similar issues before? maybe bimmercode don't support MX anymore and i need to get MX+?

I was also able to connect with other apps, so i dont think its a hardware issue.

Make sure you're connecting to the adaptor via the bimmercode app, not the phone.

Here's the list of supported OBD Adaptors.
