Yesterday there was an "update software" notice on iDrive and I updated. After the update the Connected app no longer shows the option to remote start the X7 and pressing 3 times on the key fob also stopped working.

Did BMW remove the remote start functionality of the X7?

Go into your climate control menu and there's an option you can click on called "pre conditioning " I think and it turns it back on after u agree to some kind of warning which gives u back the ability to do the remote start.

Yes, every time my software is updated, I've had to turn back on the feature. Painful.
