Weird noise

I opened the door on my 17 M2 to go get some food.

I heard a clicking/knocking sound coming from the center front of the car. It stopped after a little bit.

Never heard it before.

Any ideas??

It's normal if you just shut off your car.

It quit before even starting the car.

I just want to know what it is.

And yes, it doesn't do it when the car shuts off.

Are you talking about the fuel pump pressurizing when you unlock the car before a cold start?

That's a possibility.

I thought that would be more from the rear.
