Very happy with how they turned out. The gloss back goes well with the other gloss black accents on the car. Didn't take into account that I installed mud flaps but it was nothing a table saw couldn't take care of.[IMG][/IMG]

Was thinking about it but not sure yet, they are fairly inexpensive so wouldn't hurt to try them out. Higher priority is a rear diffuser, preferably one that is well under $3K 🙂

Looks great!

I love mine too! Fitment is great and the gloss black holds up well.

I have the rear bumper skirts too, knowing they won't 100% fit on the X3M because their length is for the 3.0i M Sport. It's a project that will require shorten and refilling the edge after the cut, so it probably won't be something I will get to anytime soon. LOL

Good idea, but the end that needs to be cut isn't on the wheel well side, its on the inner section next to the exhaust tips

The rear skirts were designed of an X3 3.0i M Sport which have single tips per side which are inset further in than our dual tips per side....from the rear view perspective....hope that made sense LOL

Edit...added pics to better illustrate the above...length and curvature at end is different

Without the cutout in the front Im guessing your welcome carpet lights are cut off a bit?

It does slightly but only at the base of the lighting near the side skirt. Here is a quick pic..ill try to find a better one later.

I ordered directly from the Maxton Design UK site back in June.

These look great. i just received mine and was wondering if you installed on the car or took the rocker panels off and installed the extensions on that and then reinstalled. Did you use the supplied fasteners as well? Any doublesided tape? I was thinking to use double sided tape to kind of hold it in place on the rocker and then attach the fasteners. I ordered the X4 skirt extensions as they have the cutout for the carpet lights so it doesnt get cut off. X3 and X4 share the same side skirts according to real oem. Holding them up, they fit my X3 well.

Here are a couple pics of the Maxton side skirts I put on mine. I used a couple floor jacks to hold them in place, then ran the fasteners in. Did not use double sided tape as they felt plenty solid. I also only used six fasteners per side. I also added splash guards, so had to do some trimming on the fronts.

Are your splash guards held on by drilling new holes or do they use existing rivet attachment points?
