OG M2 LCI Prices

Has anybody studied the car market enough to have an estimate of when M2 LCIs will go back down?

Early May and June, the 2018 M2s were regularly going for 37-39k. My daily just broke down and I'm trying to make a decision on whether or not it's worth fixing it for more than it's worth.

Thanks!

BTW..if anyone wants a quick sale of their m2, let me know. I am very anxious to get into one.

probably dec/jan would be my guess. used car prices will go down once new car supply reaches pre-covid levels. A lot of the countries around the world only started re-opening the factories like a month or two ago.

A lot of ppl are saying this is peak used prices in terms of used car prices going up and now its flattening a bit.

The M2 was pretty low volume car pre-covid, so it might take longer for M2 prices to go down compared to a 3 series or M4.

Agree with above...

M2s also tend to move slower in the winter from what I have seen the last couple of years...so if one has been on the lot for a few months already, a dealer may be willing to negotiate a bit more to clear it out of inventory

Haha I would totally be onboard with that IF I had closed on an m2 back in June.

With some 400,000 predicted to be dead by New Year, demand for cars - and hence prices - should drop again...
