Difference between the x3m non comp and comp exhaust

I'm picking up my phytonic blue x3m non comp on tuesday and what's the actual difference between the two exhaust, i know ones loud and more free flowing. is it just a different muffler and cats and such or is it a complete different exhaust. like if i were hoping to get a loud sound could i just do downpipes on the non comp or would i need a full exhaust system like the ones the offer at eisenmann.

Just the rear muffler difference.

To get loud, there are a lot of options, just depending on how loud do you want it to be.

Just get aftermarket option. I would do Remus if muffler only, Akrapovic if full catback exhaust.

i'm just looking for something loud enough to be pleasing at highway speed inside the car but not super loud to where it gets annoying

i've noticed dinan has released a axle back not too long ago how does it compare to its competitors and also some people has said that bmw doesn't honor the dinan warranty thing and some say that do, do you know anything about that?

Unless you touch the stock downpipes, warranty should not be an issue. Dinan muffler is a viable and cheap alternative, if you like their exhaust tips and OK with the higher weight of their muffler.

if this is what you’re looking for, don’t touch the stock midpipes and get an axle back system. and pull out the asd.

I have never heard Dinan and cheaper being associated together LOL

No. I'm making a general statement that nothing Dinan puts out is cheaper based on previous history.

Just get aftermarket option. I would do Remus if muffler only, Akrapovic if full catback exhaust.
Just noticed they seem to have a tune, "Remus Powerizer" (catchy). I can search, but anyone have thoughts/experience with the powerizer?

I don’t question Dinan’s quality. Cheap = low in price. Akrapovic, Remus, Eisenmann axle back exhausts are far more expensive than Dinan’s. That general statement is inaccurate at best.

It is a re-brand of DTE tuning.
Which is a spin-off of RaceChip.

You have to question its quality.
I've seen quite a few fail.

Not a lot of moving parts; do welds break or something?

Go ask the F8x owners who had an MPE. Yes welds can fail.

Exhaust valve broke.

Exactly. A full Akrapovic system is almost $7000 as Alex and I both know 😝the hard way. Dinan systems sound good but not a fan of the bare tip as I once got a nasty burn on my E63 M6 and vowed never again...

I asked about a Dinan flash tune at the dealership for a friend who was interested in it for his 740i and they said everything Dinan is on hold with them right now due to quality issues. He didn't say they were completely stopping, just on hold for now.
