Does anyone have a recommendation for a good deal on purchasing oem approved oil in the US?

Thanks!

Thank you for the response, but that did not pull up any qualifying results. Our cars, as noted on the oil filler cap, required 0W – 30 Long Life full synthetic oil. I've not found anything other than the prepackaged BMW Oil Change Kits. I already have filters. So if anyone finds a good deal on OEM standard Oil for the F 90 M5, please let me know.

Thank you all, and stay safe!

1) You don't need to put 0w-30 all year long.
2) not sure what kind of "deal" you're looking for
3) royal purple and liqui moly are some of the best oils available regardless of who is paying BMW to use their oil these days. They change yearly.

Don't lock yourself into this notion that just cuz BMW has a new stamp today doesn't mean the oil they "approved" yesterday suddenly isn't good anymore.

BMW TPT 0w30 (LL01FE) is reasonably priced. and is slightly thinner than BMW TPT 5w30 (LL01). While FE means "Fuel Economy" it has a hths of 3.2 which is very close to "thicker" A3/B4 (LL01) which have a min hths of 3.5

Castrol 0w40 (LL01) can be found cheaply at Walmart.

The cheapest route however is FCP Euro. You buy the initial kit and then get it free from then on if you follow their lifetime replacement program (ship them the used oil and filter you originally bought from FCPEuro for a refund). Basically you only.pay for the first kit and shipping of the used oil back to FCP Euro.

Anything special you have to do to ship oil? Lot of oil to ship. Yet cheaper than buying new I suppose but the hassle is something to consider.

Nope. Just reuse the bottles from your new kit, box for oil filter, and print the label.
