Vossen unboxing, pics, and review

Of course I posted these pics in my progress thread, but I felt compelled to write a review of Vossen as a company. I am INCREDIBLY impressed with the quality, of course. However, I'm even more impressed with the SERVICE they provided. I cannot recommend them enough.

I could not find anyone else that chose to go with as wide of a set of wheels as I did. Without a basis of comparison, I chose to let the experts at Vossen determine the best fitment for such an aggressive wheel.

These things are going to re-define what "aggressive" means.... LOL. These mofos are going to look like BEASTS on my car.

22x10.5 front, ET 19 (35mm more "poke" than stock)
22x12 rear, ET 20 (40mm more "poke" than stock)
295/30/22 front tires
335/25/22 rear tires
Satin bronze powdercoat

More important than all that though, is that after contacting no less than 4 different Vossen resellers...... and being blown off all 4 times..... I contacted Vossen directly, and expressed my frustrations about various resellers. Not only did they welcome my business and give me a great deal, they also;

1. Threw in Vossen wheel studs with rotating seats, free
2. Threw in Vossen wheel locks, free
3. Threw in a wheel cleaning kit, free
4. Packaged these things SO INCREDIBLY secure, they'd survive the apocalypse
5. Charged me $250 for UPS ground shipping....... but then after learning how long that takes to get to an APO address, upgraded me to USPS priority, at a cost of $360 to them..... and didn't ask for a dime more from me.
6. Quoted me 6-8 weeks build time during a pandemic, and shipped them at exactly 7 weeks..... as promised.

Don't order from some shitty reseller (especially the popular one that loves to advertise Vossen wheels on YouTube..... yea..... those guys)..... Buy from Vossen directly. Absolutely cannot recommend them enough.

The shop that will install them is on vacation for the entire month of August (Europe... gotta love it).... so for now, I'll just have to stare at them for the next 10 days.

Thanks for reading. If you're still thinking about who to buy from.... hopefully this eases your mind a bit.

Wheels look awesome and great information re. your Vossen customer experience. That 10 day wait is going to be difficult for sure. But on the plus side, you've now got a week and a half to protect those bad boys with a couple layers of ceramic coating...

Congrats 914! I know you are super excited to get them on the truck.

I am curious to see how the offsets look before I purchase my wheels. I let you be the test mule.

They are going to be a very aggressive fitment. Very.

The car will definitely need to have suspension settled "just right". Too high, and it will look like a roller skate. Too low, and I'll rip my fenders off on a speed bump.

But.... just the right height, I think will definitely give it character, and an intimidating stance.

Is there any chance room to shave the fender if needed? Spot weld in there?

I honestly think you'll need to raise it up a bit with the height you're at now..... those wheels are more aggressive than I thought they would be!

Congratulations man I’m sure it’s killing waiting for installation after the 7 weeks. I can’t wait to see the final results.

Wow those are nice. Congrats. Please post pics after you install.

I ended up cancelling my order. I may go back and reorder depending on my long-term plans.

Several more pics on the last page of my progress thread. They "pop" much more in sunlight. Today is a dark, grey, crappy day.

No rubbing whatsoever.... full lock steering, rough roads, potholes, in sport mode.

Pics in loading mode. Will likely go down about 8-12mm.

Just wondering how your experience has been with this fitment so far? I went with the same fitment (but my fronts are 285).
On my last service BMW told me that because my tire sizes are so much larger than factory, I might run into drivetrain issues and they wouldnt cover it if so....

I can't figure out how much I really need to worry about my drivetrain now.

Wondering how these would look on a carbon black…more than the style I mean the color of the wheels. I have always wanted bronze wheels but also don't want to look too tacky or wannabe or a racer boy. Any thoughts?
