Carbon Mirror Caps

Some pics of my carbon mirror caps. Clip off the OEM covers and clip on the carbon ones. Took about 20 seconds a side. Very easy to install and felt like I was installing on another OEM piece.

Is it overlay or dry carbon?

The OEM piece is plastic on plastic. We wanted the same plastic underneath so the install would be like stock. So it's a carbon cap on top of the same style plastic. Makes the install just like stock

I have the actual M performance ones and they are solid carbon fiber throughout.

Because they are factory parts and top quality and they know they can. In all fairness there are good quality ones for much less. The BMW ones are top notch and fit perfectly and covered by the factory warranty. It was a tough call but I have had cheap ones that were caps on plastic and they came off.

Priceless observation that only a CFO would appreciate fully. With Boeing delivering fewer 787 Dreamliners in 2020, one would think there wouldn't be any carbon fiber shortage leading to better prices.

I am willing to pay a premium for OEM quality, but wasn't able to stomach the $400 per side for the F80, much less $800 per side for the F97
