X3 M40i cargo net fit?

Below is the factory cargo net for the X3 M40i. I don't see why it wouldn't fit the X3M? Anyone tried it? If not, what net did you go with? I want an OEM solution like I had in my F80.

So, on mine anyway, there's no where to latch the top points to on the vehicle. I went with one of the cheap ones on amazon that came with mounting points to attach to. They need to be screwed into the plastic. Here's how mine came out:

That one should work as a "tie down" style net with the factory fore and aft hooks on the floor bed....just like on the F80. I really liked that set up on my F80 too, but I'm currently experimenting with a envelope style type set up like evo-mike posted, but mines midway through the trunk and acts like a separation between stuff that is always in back of my trunk. I'll grab some pics shortly.

Here are a couple pics of my set up, though I did just realize that this only apples if you don't have the spare tire option.

I slid the fore hooks towards the aft and aligned them with the fold out hooks on the side walls. I liked the partition is created and the envelope style net seems to be pretty versatile too. The only thing is that the side wall hooks might only work best with cargo nets loop ends instead of hooks.

Hope that helps.

Yep I have the spare tire option and I would prefer a floor mounted net.

This has hands down been my best purchase. Nothing slides around when taking on sharp corners. It will fit over your typical medium sized suit case too

It was this one that's not available anymore:

CARTMAN Cargo Net Hammock Trunk... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078H9FMKK...p_mob_ap_share

There's a bunch on there that are exactly the same. This size (35x12) worked perfectly. For reference I paid $8 for it last year.

My M2 came with one of those. Would have been nice to get one with the X3M.

I kept the net that came with my M2 and the first aid kit.

My net fit. The only thing that would be different is if you’re going from no spare to spare or vice versa. I had an M40i without spare and went to an M with, but was able to make the old net work as shown above.
