First phase completed. Looks great, and happy to report that the ride is completely stock. The instructions that come with the links are incredibly thorough and detailed with photos. The local shop had no problem with installation. Thanks Ben for a great product. More photos coming soon.....

1. RG sport lowering links
2. Paint corrected/ceramic pro
3. Tinted reflectors and debadged

Looks amazing, well done.

How difficult was it to install the lowering links? How low did you go?

Solid! If that's the loading height that you pictured, you went pretty conservative it looks like?

Nicely done. May I ask how many mm from stock length you went from the originals? I'm getting ready to do the same job, and I've received conflicting reports that recommend anywhere from 2mm to 6mm.

Thanks! It was very easy install for an experienced shop. RG sport provides detailed step by step instructions including photos of each step, all very detailed. Took the shop about 1.5 hrs to complete install, so not very long at all. We followed RG sports exact specs for setting the Links to their appropriate height front/rear.

Overall yes it's a conservative drop but definitely noticeable versus stock. Here is another shot which better shows the new loading height

Thanks! Honestly can't tell you what the overall difference is versus stock, but it's noticeable. The instructions that come from RG sport are very specific for setting up the links front/rear to achieve this drop. Since the links are adjustable, I assume you could go even lower if you wanted to.

The instructions from RG say you need to extend the front links to 24mm and shorten the rear links to 16mm to achieve this drop. Since they are adjustable you could likely have a more aggressive drop if you want. I would suggest talking w Ben at RG, he would be able to give you the best insight.

You can drive as low as original loading height.

How is it was the actual drive itself? Any change in comfort not as "floaty" feeling?

I drive in sport individual at all times. Much less floaty, but remains comfortable. Really it's the ideal setup for the X5. Those that have complained that the air suspension is too floaty, have not been in one lowered with 22inch wheels. It drives the way one would expect a BMW suv to drive.

Also if your going to lower yours I would also recommend H&R spacers through RG sport. The overall look with lowering links and spacers is perfect. The way it should have looked from the factory.
