I keep it under 3k, because I don't want BMW dealer to void my warranty claiming that I used my X3M "Competition" for racing.

I never floor it off the line because it just disappoints

but I do roll on the power and go WOT once I'm at 3k rpms!

Here's another question: how often do you go triple digits?

Daily.
