M5F90 USA-Software on european cars?
Hi guys,
I own a f90m5c and appreciate every second in this car. Since it is a my2020 there are no more pops&bangs (german/european ecu). One way to get pops&bangs would be a ecu-flash with aftermarket-software, but this might void the warranty. Now I am considering to flash the ecu-software with the software of usa-m5c's (original bmw in america). What do you think? |

is it worth losing warranty (assuming you are still in warranty period)? is it worth getting hassled by EU people for the noise?
an ECU flash will void warranty on drive train at least afaik #OnlyYouCanDecide |

if its flashing the ECU that controls the engine, they would see that immediately and from my understanding, flag the car. there was a thread about it in one of the more generic BMW groups on this board within the last few weeks

It's not just ECU-tune. The ECU-tune gives you rev limiter in parking/neutral to 3K RPM, also a less pops&bangs. But you also have OPF installed in your exhaust that makes it more "silent"
