Lowering springs: adverse side effects?
Hi All,
A very brief chat with Dr. Google says lowering your car can increase wear and tear over time. I'm looking to own for "a while" so don't wanna induce trouble. Assuming the installer knows what they're doing, as far as you know: 1. Any truth to that? 2. Any warranty concerns with BMW? Thanks... |

Everytime you do too much, that's when you are going beyond the safety limit. Even not lowering the car, in stock form, you can increase the wear and tear if you are going over the limit of the car. Such as; over loading the capacity, driving over bumps like you don't care the meaning of speed bumps, etc. So, with that saying. Google is not always right.

Increase wear is true, but negligible unless you take it to the extreme. And realistically most people don't keep cars long enough for any potential adverse effects to show up.
