X3M Competition Best bang for the buck?

Sold my M4 ZCP and looking for a replacement.

Is the X3M the way to go? It's fast, great interior, good looking and lease are around 7xx$.
Looking in all directions... Trackhawk, Hellcat, G80, G05 PHEV etc.

The X3 is such a good looking all-rounder for very little money in my eyes?

Thoughts?

Did you buy your m4 used? $700s? During peak incentives. That won't last.

No, I got my M4 new 4 years ago...

The current X3M Competition lease offers are currently even below $700 if you know where to look.

With the incentives and dealers willing to move them yeah I think it's the best bang for the buck. I guess I'm kinda biased tho.

Keep in mind jeep and dodge, etc don't come with as much free maintenance. Probably worth an extra grand or so

Yeah, I'm currently super open but looking for a new toy.

The X3M just make sense to me! White with red leather

Why the hesitation? Just go get it and mod it.

Not sure if I should wait for the LCI tho?

Not really in rush since I have some other cars to drive for now...

I'm sure the LCI will be amazing!

So part of the bang for the buck is the 15k +/- you can get off sticker coupled with really low interest rates and mf. Some of that is 2021s being out - end of the model year. Most of that is COVID and supply and demand related. Which most likely we won't see for long or anytime soon. So waiting may not be in your best interest regardless of what you end up with.

I disagree. The best deals we saw for leasing were several months ago: incentives were much higher, residual was the same, and MF was only marginally higher. *And* there was a lot of inventory. COVID means that now there is very little 2020 inventory left so dealers are less eager with discounts and the '21s are only just hitting the lots. Not to mention, the '21s presently have terrible incentives, i.e. no incentives whatsoever and a worse residual. My advice is to wait, if you can.

The X3MC is a great all around vehicle especially if it's your only car

As far as bang for buck and no other considerations, I'd get an M2C

Is that your experience? It just makes no sense

With the current economic uncertainty, outgoing model year, and the cost of holding that inventory, dealers are more than motivated to move niche cars ASAP. That urgency will increase as each day passes moving forward

Yeah I think he might have been taking into consideration the 2021 models. I was referring to 2020s. Time is now. Things aren't getting any better imo.

This is a very different vehicle compared to M4, so make sure you know what you're getting into. That said, it is a real M car and if it fits what you want it is really an amazing car. 2020 deals have to be good still since 2021s hitting dealer lots. I bought in April when the 2021 production was unknown and I still got a good deal.

Even '20s aren't leasing as well as they were several months ago. BMW dropped a lot of the back-end money on these vehicles as of July 1. Zero-gross deals are now closer to 11% pre-incentive than 12-13% because of that lack of cash. There is simply a smaller margin on them today than there was before.

I get everyone thinks it doesn't make sense, but I personally know I was seeing much better deals months ago, even through brokers. If you could do 13% with 5k incentives months ago, how is 11% with 3.5-4k incentives going to compare today? It's a worse deal. Yes, you will see some 13-14% deals but these are exception; those dealers may have made good gross on another sale and that can even it out. If you can grab that deal, go for it! But I've been watching these leases for months; objectively the deals are generally worse today, and the inventory selection is terrible, assuming you are at all picky on options.

That makes sense. I don't think waiting will improve the deals though. Maybe Spring 2021...

Nope, dealers are absolutely short on cars currently.

I have driven multiple X3M & X4M.

I'm looking to get rid of my E46 Wagon and have the X3 as my daily and dog hauler.

So what are the specific questions you have to these cars?

I don't have any specific vehicle question just general thoughts about the X3M.

In my eyes it is currently a good buy compared to other in its class.

Just wanted to hear people's opinion.
