USB music collection transfer

Hi, i've copied a bunch of mp3s on a USB thumb drive and plugged it into the USB slot next to the charging tray and nothing happens. when i go to music collection, i don't see any menu item that can import or transfer. i've tried using my mac thumb drive and FAT32 drive and neither of them worked.

any help? thanks.

You need to go to the "USB" input to access files on usb flash drive. Music collection is for music stored on the vehicle hard drive HDD.

News to me about the HDD...anyone know how big it is? Really doesn't matter as I'll be streaming Apple Music anyway. Just curious.

I haven't tried to copy any music to the X7 HDD yet as I just got the car 2 days ago; but both my F10 5 series and F15 X5 have an internal HDD to store music on it.

From the music collection, hit the option button, and you will have an import music option.

I believe it's an 80 GB HDD, of that you get 20GB usable for media storage.
