Noob questions
So I've recently picked up a B58 340i, irrelevant of web specs the car thinks it's pushing out 480NM of Torque. My 125d which is lightly re-mapped is pushing out 255HP and 500NM.
Thing is the 125d feels a fair bit quicker due to low / mid range punch, yes it is a lighter car and the gearing will be different because it's a diesel but you have to ring that 340i before it starts making an impact. Now, I'm wondering what to do about it? I can of course get a re-map go improve the torque curve / give me a slight upgrade in HP (after I'm out of warranty) but before I start down this path is there anything I should check before hand? |

Jumping from a high torque diesel back to a petrol is always going to take a bit of getting used to, i've came from a 400bhp/630ftlb 335d to a 440bhp/440ftlb 340i and its honestly taken me about a year to adjust my driving style. The sheer low down punch that the diesels will alway be missed haha
