I'm wondering the same. I never had an auto start function on the app but rather a "ventilate now" - I find it does absolutely nothing in hot climate.
Is there suppose to be an engine start function where the AC blows cold air?

Yes there should be one.
I don't know exactly how is the technicalities for it.

But there's an option in the vehicle where it says start ending with ventilation or something of sorts.

It's worth mentioning that remote engine start is listed in my build. Don't know if it's an option you select to add or is it a standard.

Traffic Camera? I don't have that on mine but I have it on the RRSC.
How did you install it and does it work well?

There was a post here announcing it few days back.
I went ahead and bought it from the connected store.

"Does it work?" I honestly didn't get any notifications or alerts. But it's functional every time i start the vehicle it pops up with disclaimer.

By the way what's that RRSC? Do you have that window thing as well. I never saw it before until i restored almost everything from backup on BimmerCode.

I'm feeling something is off and need to reset the whole thing back to Stock. Every time I reset something i get some new good stuff.

It seems to be very aware of traffic cameras in the greater New York City area. I am getting pop-ups everywhere. The only issue with it is that it is based on proximity and not necessarily the road you are on. So I can be driving on the expressway and get a pop up for a traffic camera that is on the surface streets 100 feet to my right or left. So it seems to countdown the the distance to any camera that you come within 1000 feet of even if you arent on a course to encounter it.

Bought it. Installed it. I see it now. Let's see how well it works. In the RRSC (Range Rover Supercharged) it was very accurate and updated quarterly. I hope this is as good or better.

i picked up my car yesterday from the dealership after the 10K mile service and noticed the software had been updated.
My car is now on 07/2020.25. I read that is a new feature of it.

I also noticed the maps on the navigation were much faster than before.

From the description and what I'm reading about it everywhere (EU and US) it's acting like and advance radar / red light camera detector that works on both static and mobile speed traps somehow. 🤞🏻

Awesome. If so we would not need updates but if the BMW system is camera based what radar does it use? The Adaptive Cruise Control?

No information yet on how it acts as it's still in test phase.
But peeps in New York are stating it's functioning perfectly this is also from the original poster of the app announcement.

Funny part that it was on the XC90 since few years now. And working flawlessly but not for red lights camera.

I am glad to have this on the X7 now... As mentioned above it is a feature I truly love on the RRSC and it works very well. It even makes small icons at intersections with red light camera and streets with speed camera. Now if only BMW can offer a virtual cockpit (along with a heated windshield) similar to Audi or Range Rover and I would be truly happy with the current state of tech in BMW.

Patience my dear enthusiast
Very very soon, you'll be very impressed

Question being is it upgradable to the older ones or simply new build exclusive.

Used it today. It works as designed and I went to the newest camera in the area to test how current the data is and a camera placed approximately six months ago gives me an alert on the car this morning.

The traffic camera app has worked well for me as well. But has anyone used the "Automatic Window" app yet? What is it exactly?

For me I test it out few days back and it automatically opens the driver window at a preset specific geographical location. e.g. at home once you're entering your garage.

I'm not sure this is the purpose of it. But it worked in that way for me.

Pretty cool. I can see this being useful when pulling up to a drive through, ATM etc.

Check your software version. You probably need to upgrade the vehicle software.

I would call the genius line and check it out. My guess is If you have the 3D view you should be OK. But this is my guess.
