Tyre pressure monitor failure
Anyone experienced a random TPM failure? Seems to clear the fault after a while and display the tyre pressure again , but sporadically fails again and resolved again.

Yes mine failed a few weeks ago came and went as you say but then decided to be broken all the time.
Will book it in when I can, needs another tech enhancement on top as well. Spartanburg the home of quality...NOT.

But thrown on the car in South Carolina like the rest of the bits that feel like they're going to fall off....
Hopefully they didn't let the local boys near the engine.

I've had the same issue. Unplugging the battery (for my sub/amp install) made it go away for a bit but it came back.
I'm wondering if it is a sensor as the first 1000 miles I was on my winters with a different set of sensors and never had the issue. Then I put my OEM summers back on and it popped up within a few days. I bought it into the dealer for my break-in service and they noted the fault but did nothing as it was not happening at the time. Now it happens all the time. I'm not crazy about going back as there were some fine scratches on my kidney grills and rear bumper |

Turns out you need a software update to resolve the issue.
I will pick the car up later to see if it is resolved. Though I trust my local dealers as much as a bag of poop. For example, it took them 3 attempts for a 4 wheel alignment. My car came out worse then it went in. Idiots. |

1. Recall before delivery. 2. Frayed stitching on the roll top (no biggy but poor QC clearly). 3. Doors skins that aren't aligned/touching at the bottom. 4. Side skirts just tapped at the bottom that pull away from the body. 6. Rear hatch spoiler that creaks and moves when you wash it (just feels cheap). 5. A second recall notice. 6. Paint that is peeling underneath near the exhaust. (just noticed that one) 7. Failed TPMS. 8. Driver mirror indicator that has cracked from the inside. All in 6 months that's more failures/poor workmanship/build quality issues than the other 12 put together...so my lived experience of a Spartanburg product isn't great, I buy BMW/Audi/Merc/Porsche partly because I respect the German ethic towards engineering and doing a good job, I didn't know it was a US built car when I bought it so my bad. I like the car it's great to drive just poorly built in some areas.

Reviving this thread for anyone else experiencing a similar problem.
The tyre pressure monitor within one of the wheels had to be physically replaced. The software patch update was bull. Had to go back in to the dealer. |

As mentioned, this only happened with my OEM sensors, not the ones I got for my winters (which were OEM HUF brand). Wonder if there were a bad batch of these sensors? |

I've had mine for around 10 months and just started experiencing this a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Randomly lost tps readings, then started working again later that day. Nothing done to the vehicle maintenance wise when it first happened. Was good for two weeks and just happened again yesterday.
