Coolest BMW generational hi-res photo: Can you identify these cars?

This is the coolest BMW generational hi-res photo I have seen, I hope is not a re-post - I actually posted it yesterday in a reply to the "I Was Bored" post, but wanted to share it you, and ask you: Can you identify these cars?

/edited/ From left to right:

1. 2007-2008 BMW 3 Series Coupe (335i or 328i)
2. 1989-1999 BMW 8 Series
3. 1976-1989 BMW 6 Series
4. 1971-1977 BMW New Six Coupe (3.0 CSL)
5. 1966-1975 BMW 2000 C/CS
6. 1962-1965 BMW 3200 CS
7. 1956-1959 BMW 503
8. 1937-1941 BMW 327

And what place is this? Looking at the license plates, it's got to be in Europe - France, perhaps?

Certainly a photoshop - just look at the inconsistent shadows on the passenger sides of the cars. Also, the E92 looks like a giant next to the E31 (8-series).

It'd be awesome to have an 8 series!

I'm not sure you're correct - my eye is not as trained as yours, and I can't still pick the inconsistency in the shadows, however I googled the specs of both cars (3 series and 8 series) and the 8 series has a shorter wheelbase (105.7 vs 108.7) and is lower (width 52.8 vs 54). The 8 series is longer and wider (188.2 vs 180.6 and 73 vs 70). I think the photo corresponds to these measures - keep in mind there a slight perspective angle that favors the 3 series (it's closer).

Anyhow - regardless, looks cool to me!

Can you guys identify cars 5-8?

has to be photoshopped, or you'd be able to see the tire tracks on the lawn from when they drove them out there.

Wouldn't those be photoshopped out? Either way, cool shot.

Yep, they have french licence plates. I would bet the background is in France too (in the south, because we can see some palm trees). I don't think it's a photoshop: the shadows look fine, the reflexion of the sun on the roof of the cars too and you can see the grass in front of the tires. The lawn is short. It's probably the reason you can't see the tire tracks.

It's too bad the M1 (E26) wasn't included.

For #8, I think it might be a 1938-1941 327 as opposed to the 328. I'm pretty sure the 328 was only offered as a roadster and not a hard top.
